Why Stand For Mayor?
"It is about offering the skills that we possess, in case the city needs our specific areas of expertise and support during change of term roles."
Don't worry there is a Ryan standing for mayor.
About Ryan: Product Developer, from an engineering family, very capable at lots of things. One of those skilled at everything people, very interested in the maintenance side of Council work. Had a property maintenance and waterblasting business for a good few years, washed down the historic Immigrant building in the city, Interested in the exterior maintenance of the libraries and many council structures, expert chemical knowledge, expert equipment knowledge counts for a lot, plant and equipment expertise. Keeping an eye out for the safety of the city, maintaining the harbour bridge back to a safe state, wide use of composites, so much practical knowledge to offer at a very high level of expertise. Too many fields of expertise to express, skill and know-how best represents my candidacy, however civics, ordinance, directories and media, I feel I am hard to beat in any of these fields. It is about having the most to offer and a solid small business background.
UPDATE 14 October 2025: It was interesting to see I had a low vote even though I had removed most of my 6 signs half way through, and had withdrawn publicly. It was interesting to see Peter Wakeman had the lowest votes, despite pointing out that many homes used to be built by the government at the reserve cash rate. A revelation.

It was also very difficult to eventually comprehend that mayor Brown has such a low fluency in drainage design. I created concept drainage plans for the poor Takapuna golf Course members and the poor Wairau Valley occupants to relieve flood volumes. Then noticing the drainage concepts of the mayor to be pre-engineering school level. His concept to remove 1000 truck loads of earth from the golf course and to dig up a giant hole for water to go is in my opinion a deranged drainage concept for an engineer. I had no idea the bar is so low for Auckland mayoralty. I would not trust the drainage plans of the mayor, I don't know what is going on, the one drainage concept I looked into is a drainage failure on a number of points.
Positive Things

Asked by reporter Jessica Hopkins: Q: Why do you want be mayor? A: "For starters, I have defined for the first time in history who should be the mayor of Auckland, out of all of us, who should be the mayor is determined by expertise in the fields of science relative to city works, city management and city civics, of which, that one person is required to serve for that role."
-
No.1 top vision for the city: To executively manage the Auckland mayoral office to be the single top tier of technology integration and technology creation in the country.
-
Career product developer 7 years, with an engineering and small business background. All the skills needed to bring back Georgie Pie and to maintain the city.
-
Interesting fields of expertise; Harbour, estuary seabed bathymetry, I consider my self an expert in this grey zone between oceanography and hydrology and in some areas beyond documented text. I have 6 years hydrofoil boat stabilization experience that has taken me to the edge in some fields of hydro dynamics. About 4 years ago I crossed over into the sub-science of harbour and estuary dynamics and seabed bathymetry from a solid related background. During the candidate process, I feel as if I have won every election speech and have solved many flooding issues in the city along the way. I have assisted the process to solved the Wairau Valley flood volumes, the most debated concern of the entire city. I have personally discovered that there are two trees down blocking the aqueduct that serves Wairau Valley. I have also compared the meteorological data during the floods and solved some flooding issues for West Auckland - someone has built a road on top of half the upper harbour Waitemata estuary near Greenhithe! View the 'flooding' tabs on this website to see.
-
No.1 Campaign Policy: As spoken at the franklin debate: "Safe hands for the GDP of 1.8M people".
-
Critical harbour bridge maintenance - Ryan is well aware of the next injuries to Auckland city, time to give the city a break from them. Ryan has a precise product list, subframe plan and action plan to ensure the harbour bridge is perfectly smooth and well maintained. Also other hazardous matters like affordable housing and drainage can be tended to expertly.
-
Great police social understanding upgrades to ensure the highest level of relatability and to always ensure the friendly police always knock on the door.
-
Police confidence and well-being will further increase with a reduction in the sale of concentrated alcohol that causes 99.5% of road drink accidents and harm. This harm overfills the hospitals on the weekends and is an expensive nuisance. Ram raids will have to be banned. Friendly police will have excellent skills knocking on the door before going inside. Also crime needs to stop, people need to feel safe walking home at night, there is a theoretical solution to end crime, under cover policing done well and citizen learning programs to make sure everybody knows the way we behave, vehicles are safe and everyone is behaving in a safe way.
-
Good experience; I have worked with a hammer in my hand for 5 years, six years on Auckland building sites. I have always done the as-build drainage plans 'spot on' and built quality, I am not sure about affordable homes, how about quality homes? Also been on a weather tightness committee. Expert level 9.5/10

From the top of making way for nuclear fusion generation, to a high tech bridge crossing, to bolstering energy output, efficiency and pollution elimination of both of our treatment plants, pest elimination, cutting right through to the ground level of 3D printing tree houses for our beloved homeless.
-
I have identified the top ten fiscal errors that is leaching wealth out of the city and will start with the top of that list and work my way down to 100's of perfections in the areas of petrol consumption outgoings $$, city works, city maintenance, city civics, city ordinance, directories and more.
-
I have also voiced the No.1 economic error for the country as a whole. If the Minister of building has never built a house before, this can cause a large financial error. Ministers need to be astute and top of their field in their perspective roles. One mistake such as kiln-dried timber, and the cost to the country can be as high as $50B plus lost momentum of another figure on top. The Minister of building needs to be the single most astute builder that the country has to offer, with ten+ years on the tools, super high functioning and ran a team as well as a company for some years, also worked in defect materials and product development of fiber cement board or other products for example. If a builder makes an error on the building site, the costs are in the hundreds or in the thousands of dollars, but if the Minister of Building or the Minister of Housing were to make an error, that is multiplied by the 300,000 builders nationwide.

Ryan is a career product developer who is a specialist in macro and mechanical engineering, perfect for running the city. "Rubbish trucks can be modified, recycling centers can be optimised, parks bins can be designed volumetrically, modular and aligned with integrated truck collection that will be both better and the best on a global level. Roading technologies can be adopted more easily, street sign brackets and fastenings can be professionally engineered so they don't fall down all the time and much more. Ever noticed that there are no old street signs in Auckland City? That is right, they all fall down before reaching their effective time frame of use. We need to make full use out of all council product installations and reduce as much waste as possible so that we can make good with the environment as best we can.
-
Will all this amount to about a 50% drop in rates within a handful of years? I believe so. We can go back to pre-covid levels, rates should only go up for one year and then go back to where they were. We can hope and we can assume". Technologies created by the mayoral office for city works will be owned by Auckland city and can be sold offshore for revenue to Auckland Council. Let's connect with the Universities and see how we go".
-
It is important for policies to have logical foundations and help to set an example for Aucklander's. Council also needs leadership where success can happen with "good honest contracts" and "good honest dealings" Plus good pay for all. There has been a sentiment from fellow candidate Eric Chuah that a dishonest commission has been charged with the invested funds from the sale of the Airport shares, I also believe that 2% fee is a dishonest commission This has to reflect back on the Mayor of Auckland, as a scary loss of leadership.
-
When also voting for your local area councillor and your local community board members, please keep me in mind. Please know that excellently prepared contracts will come out of the mayoral office for implementation into each suburb and ward. The contracts can be anything; roading, planting, community events. These elected people need to have the proven skills in small business, and be understanding that profits come from good honest dealings, good honest contracts and are able to ensure that the funds are carefully spent within their ward and suburb boundaries. Also that the job is completed and finished in a good way and that all involved are paid properly, once again that the jobs are done and fully completed, council contracts mean good pay for all involved and have a great community spirit.
-
Ryan's Home-Business-Owners-Circumference-Policy is designed to have the highest financial reward for Aucklander's of any other candidate's policy, with nearly no cost. Search this website to discover what is contained in the circumference policy and how the art of city civics will deconstruct .traffic congestion at the same time.
-
To further explain exactly how the city will improve, Ryan's policy is to work down a list of over 200 errors and cost that are draining the city. Fuel purchases are draining the city $100 per week of many ppeoples wallets above power bills that are also high but divided amongst a family of generally 3 to 5. Below that is foreign ownership issues. It has reached saturation point and the economy may not recover without something being done. A lot of easy cash is being exported. Foreign owned investors export the full rent payments of a persons house, Air BNB and booking.com take 10 to 25% fee of the property rental price just for providing a website directory, that is a giant sum of money leaving the country each week, almost uncalculatable amounts of cash.
-
Can't leave the house without $20 going overseas - An uber ride apparently takes a 25% commission, $5 is exported out of the country for a $20 cab ride. You then buy a burger at McDonald's, fifty cents goes overseas, the food industry is almost mainly all foreign owned, You have Wendies, Denny's, Burger King, Pizza Hut, Domino's, Carl's Junior, KFC, Taco Bell, Subway, Uber Eats, Woolworths, wallmart, Kmart.
-
Councillor and Mayoral candidate Kerrin Leoni stands for either 18 or 80B more foreign investment, as said at the University debate. She stands for the equivalent of many extra 1000's of Mc Donald's restaurants to be buildin in NZ as a top campaign policy. She is the anti-christ to cap off the countries worst recession. Who would promote foreign investment as a candidate? Warning!
-
Ryan gives strong assurances that traffic congestion will decrease every year until it reaches zero, well within ten years. Explanations how are in the transport tabs of this website.
-
Of single great importance nationwide, we need Ministers Of Parliament to be top of their field at what they do. For example, the Minister of building needs to have built a house before, be the single best builder that the country has to offer and is astute at the building industry. This means a high functioning individual who has run a large team and has experience with defective materials and also product development of materials and claddings that work. Errors at a ministerial level, such as direct fix and untreated timber, can be multiplied by 300,000 builders who are throughout the country. This is a revelation that can apply to the Minister of agreculture, being needed to be the single most astute farmer/ environmental botanist that the country has to offer.
-
Peace. I must talk about peace on my home page, about 1/3rd of the world is at war and over half of the world has been in war in the last year or two. This is the biggest brain drain, taking our most physically able young men, who do not always return from armed service. People also are exposed to negative work energies in the false industry, which is also harmful to society. We need to get through this situation and now is an excellent time to elect good leadership.
-
Finally poor leadership issues, candidates for the election; Mayor Brown is severely geriatric with his new term aged 79-82 years of age, life expectancy in New Zealand is 81, so perhaps this explains why he wants to dig a giant hole into the Takapuna golf club, excavate out 1000 truck loads of earth to make a giant hole and to hope flood waters to go. Also Kerrin Leoni has me worried for the health of the city, she stands for "density done right" while the rest of all councillors are just realizing that destroying a quality home and putting up 6 affordable and poor homes, off sets the proportion of poor people and poor homes in the city 6 to 1. On top of this, she stands for more foreign investment, this is a reverse logic of economics. Who would campaign this, she could end up responsible for the GDP of 1.8 million people. She does not have a single clue for the countries most complex job and is rounding up votes of un-democratic voters, people who do not know how to vote, people who vote for a person because they were asked to, instead of doing the research into the best person with clear policies. Out of the 7 speeches I went to, she was on average 45 minutes late to 4 of them. She is telling people to "vote for change" this is a woke statement, it will be change for the worse. She also says in all her speeches " I will search for solutions" yes she will find a solution an will fund the wrong one because she has no expertise in drainage, economics, town planning, the lot I'd imagine.
