Intellectually, we must all understand that there is no way that Ryan could possibly inform 1.7 million Aucklander’s of his standings with any amount of funds. Everybody must do a tiny bit to distribute the information. Many relatives without email will need to be called or visited for our choice to be heard.

As there is no sense in spending money to falsely to promote a good or bad campaign, so Ryan feels that a good campaign will sell itself, by concerned people wanting change. Becoming mayor should no longer be about who has the most billboards, nor an exercise in the use of private wealth or donations from interested people or existing governments using public funds to perpetually stay in power.
