Home Business Owners Circumference Policy

Ryan's flagship election standing is for the self-employed and also work-from-home business owners, to be endorsed to display business plaques on the front gate. Also to allow these same people to be freely able to drop business cards into letterboxes that are within a 2km radius of home, shop or place of work.

This bylaw will stop people from driving all over the city all day long, and instead drive a couple of minutes to locally situated homes, often within 1 or 2kms driving distance. This will take vehicles off the road in the masses, including those of: House-washers, window cleaners, home cleaners, home helpers, lawns and maintenance providers, plumbers, chippies, music teachers, electricians, roof workers, vege-store and local product sellers, appliance repairers, painters, decorators, food delivery providers, child care services, service technicians, pool cleaners, carpet cleaners and much more.

The economic benefit Ryan says of just this one standing, could likely be $750M per year in saved fuel alone. Also un-necessary vehicle wear and tear of up to 300,000 vehicles, plus saving 30mins driving a day, equating to 36,000,000 saved hours of wasted time for an estimated 300,000 people. Ryan says, there should be an extra $750 million dollars sloshing around Auckland and 36 million hours of spare time. Also how much will services improve when service providers are just down the road from home to drop back for spare parts or the need to return for call backs of any unexpected reasons.

Ryan points out that the good faith of letterboxes have been reduced by catalogues and other advertising that is too big, too frequent and miss-marketed. By limiting other junk advertising mail distributed in error that people don’t want, and then allowing business cards to be dropped, will have an unforseen reduction of traffic and making the city more economic, more money sloshing around and road congestion untangled.

Let intelligence and good sense unblock the roads. Let Ryan's good common sense smarts. Ryan ran Street Smart Property Wash for a good number of years, driving not more than 1km to the first job every morning. Ryan's company provided the cheapest house washing service in town yet was likely to be one of the most profitable, a win for all. Ryan has a fantastic understanding of a prime radius for customers.
