More Healthy Food Options For Dairies
Traffic issues show us that dairies can improve the transport metrics of the city. We need to ensure that dairies are being supplied food and products at the same price as the supermarkets.
This can be achieved with the best truck loading system and truck technology that can be developed. A council investment into picking/packing and micro supply/ordering will assist with keeping up with increased demand and ensure that dairies get a reputation as being cheaper than supermarkets. This can be possible as food prices get out of control. The public will be informed about dairy organisation through the civics department on the mayors office and people will know that more produce will be available at better prices. Since dairies are New Zealand owned there is a real advantage to look after the city in a way that ensures money is not exported out of the city to Australian supermarket chains as everything needs to be fair and even. This comes down to dairy having the best organisation in the country. This means highly organised supply and the best funding to get it up and running. This means better and easier work for dairies and a boom in the supply side and everything gets updated and the existing supply workers are retained in better employment.
Existing chains such as 4Square will be ensured things are as organised as possible, have the same new technologyof milk shake machines and machinery that is better and faster.
This will be better for Auckland people who typically travel less distances to shop from a dairy than the large scale supermarkets.
As this is considered an essential service, we will help ensure that roadworks and parking access is reserved for customers where possible. It is imperative that people travel less distance for food to reduce traffic issues.
Growers will know that fruit and food dumping can be supplied to the dairies in Auckland through one network, who will be able to offload more specials in bulk. Will all dairies being supplied by one organised operation, adversing can therefore be possible. For instance. Apples 2.00Kg. Whole frozen chickens $10.00 Beer 15.00 Tomatoes $5.00Kg
Special equipment can be developed and supplied to dairies that re--heat pies evenly and professionally.
Together, dairies in the region will be able to demand the same wholesale prices as supermarkets.
Perhaps also an Auckland pie, either apple and blackberry or fried banana pie, only available in dairies and in dairies Auckland Wide? Dairies are a critical part of local supply, saving of transport, saver of carbon, to distribute of short life consumables like milk and bread, also community news. The mayoral office will hope to produce a food station where people can heat food up, like pies and refrigerated products.
And that's right, you read it correctly about the apple and blackberry pie. You can take the Goergie Pie out of Auckland, but you can't take Georgie Pie out of the minds of Aucklander's. With a bit of support, this could be done.
